Pitch Deck

Roles: Graphic Designer, Art Direction

Brief: Working closely with director, Quinton Couch, create a pitch deck that brings to life the visual tones of Couch’s universe: his childhood in southern Ohio, his father’s current home, and his family’s multi-generational experience in Appalachia.

Essence: Nostalgic for a cluttered countertop in Appalachia. The smell of cigarettes once smoked lingers. Is it coming from the curtains? The couch? Maybe its trapped in the walls.

Client: Quinton Couch, Director

The entire deck was created with scanned textures from Couch’s personal closet, physical photos from his childhood and father’s life, and film photos Couch took upon visiting his father. I had Couch hand write the copy on scraps of paper and mail to embed him in the very essence of this deck. It was important to the both of us that the visual story telling was as personal as the written word.
